Lavendon Neighbourhood Plan

The Lavendon Neighbourhood Plan will go to referendum on 23rd January 2020.

The question which will be asked in the Referendum is:
'Do you want Milton Keynes Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Lavendon to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?'

Please see below the Letter from Milton Keynes Council regarding the emerging Neighbourhood Plan for Lavendon.

The plan has been "put on deposit" at Milton Keynes Council from 24th June until 5th August 2019.

During this period you are encouraged to comment on the plan and we would recommend that you read the Consultation Summary Note which follows the letter below and can be viewed by clicking here.

All relevant documents, including the final neighbourhood plan for consultation can be viewed or downloaded using the links in this page. →

The steering group and Lavendon Parish Council would encourage any and all positive comments, alongside any concerns that you may have, surrounding the plan with a view to ultimately adopting the plan through referendum.
24 June 2019

In June 2019, Lavendon Parish Council submitted its draft Neighbourhood Plan to Milton Keynes Council, in accordance with Regulation 15 of the Neighbourhood Plans (General) Regulations 2012.

Milton Keynes Council now has to publish the neighbourhood plan for a period of consultation after which the Plan and any comments received will be considered by an independent planning examiner.

The Lavendon Neighbourhood Plan will therefore be available for comments for six weeks between Monday 24 June and Monday, 5 August 2019. There is more information about the plan and how to comment in the enclosed Consultation Summary Note.

Please send your comments on the submitted Lavendon Neighbourhood Plan before 5pm on Monday, 5 August 2019 to:

Following this publication stage, any comments we receive will be passed to an independent person who will examine the plan, to consider whether the plan has met the basic conditions for a neighbourhood plan; that it satisfies the legal requirements for a neighbourhood plan; and to identify an appropriate area for the referendum. As part of that process, the Examiner will decide if the plan should proceed to the Referendum stage, where local residents will have the opportunity to vote on whether the Lavendon Neighbourhood Plan should be ‘adopted’ by Milton Keynes Council, and used in the determination of planning applications in the area.

Yours sincerely
