Bus Operator Update

Councillor Debbie Whitworth from Olney Town Council has provided us with an update as follows. 

 

Discussions have taken place between an operator and NWC who is looking to take over part run of Stagecoach 

 

We've been liaising after the MD heard of my endeavours to find a replacement .. and the MD informed me he is set to submit their reg' application and will cover part run. 

 

Mainly Northampton route but he's assured me after the discussion this weekend he sees no reason why Bedford can't be added on too 

 

I stressed the need to ensure Lavendon gets included as well as Olney 

 

He's coming back to me with proposed timetables .. here's his rough schedule of operation ... 

 

Lavendon, Olney (High Street, Weston Road, Aspreys), Yardley Hastings, Denton, Brayfield on the Green.  

At this point we are looking to divert from the A421 and operate past Billing Aquadrome, Weston Favell (off peak only, most 

likely), Northampton College, town Centre, possibly terminating at the railway station. 

 

We will keep everyone informed of any updates but do understand that there is nothing concreate at this stage.
