here to serve the community

In the ongoing effort to make the roads in our village safer we will be running the Community Speed Watch programme again.

With the increased number of speed indicator devices (SIDs) in the village we, along with the police are compiling data to identify where the speeding problems in the village are. The police are keen to keep speed levels down in all villages throughout the area so are becoming more active with regards to this problem.

Community Speed Watch is run by volunteers who work in teams of three and are trained to use handheld speed indicator devices and to provide the results back to Thames Valley Police.

If you care about speeding problems in Lavendon, and have a few hours spare simply email clerk@lavendonpc.org to volunteer. The more people we have, the more effective the campaign will be.

Thank you.

Hi I am happy to get involved. I think we will only get to grips with the speeding problem if we get permanent cameras or similar installed. Regards, Andy
