Emberton Country Park will re-open to vehicles on Wednesday the 27 May 2020. There will be a lower limit put in place initially on vehicle numbers to ensure social distancing. This will be under regular review.

In line with government guidance, closed areas include: play areas, outdoor gym equipment, overnight use of caravans, camping areas and visits from touring caravans.

For a limited time there will be some traffic management arrangements in place in front of the park to safely manage cars into the park and should it be necessary to assist with cars safely leaving the park area, should the park reach its temporary limit in numbers.

The Council will monitor the situation including the adherence of visitors to government guidelines and social distancing and will report any serious matters to the police.
Further COVID-19 outbreaks are possible nationally and locally. By taking care and being responsible for our own safety as well as that of colleagues and visitors, we can help to protect each other, our communities and the critical and essential services that so many people rely on.

The Emberton Country Park has put these additional measures in place:

• Contactless or exact payment only
• Open for vehicle entry from 9.15am and last vehicle entry at 4.45pm
• Toilet facilities will be open for use and an enhanced cleaning regime will be in place
• Grounds Café has opened for takeaway service and is observing social distancing measures.
• Fishing can now take place

On the 24th of March, in line with the Government guidance at the time, a decision was taken to close Emberton Country Park. It involved closing all the shower/toilet blocks, the café, static caravans, camping and vehicle access.

The park has continued to remain open to people travelling to the park locally on foot to allow for daily exercise.
